Every year, I make a list of games I have yet to finish. Since I moved at the end of 2015, I haven’t really had the opportunity to do it yet for this year. Since I have a blog now, I thought I’d turn it into a post, detailing what I have yet to finish and what I’m currently playing.
So here goes…
Games to finish!
PC: The Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition
PS4: Bloodborne, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
Xbox One: Rise of the Tomb Raider
PS3: Ni No Kuni
PS2 (believe it or not): Persona 4
I’d also like to point out that in the PC category, I have a few other games that are on a list that I plan to eventually play. These include The Walking Dead telltale games (season 1 and 2) as well as Grim Fandango, which I bought during the last Steam sale.
Before the move, I was playing lots of The Witcher 3, but got to a pivotal scene in the game that makes me think I’m almost done. Personally, I don’t feel ready to complete the game yet, so I’ve put it off for now so that when I DO want to beat it, I can really savor the end. So instead of playing that, I’ve tried picking up Dragon Age again. The game is good, but the controls are so awful that I can’t stand to play it for more than an hour at a time (Note: Thank god for keyboard macros).
Other than that, I’ve been playing an obscene amount of Space Engineers. The recent planet update has made the game hugely interesting again and a friend rented a server, so that’s fun too. I also reinstalled Diablo 3 (as I do every year or so) and have been playing a character or two on that. Robocraft has also made a recent resurgence in my gaming life. Building robots from scratch, then smashing them against competition is pretty fun, but the meta typically winds up getting old pretty fast, so I don’t see that kick lasting more than a few more weeks.
As I get more settled into the new place (I’ll have a new desk soon set up where I want it to be…I hope), I expect that I’ll make a return to The Crew and Elite: Dangerous. I’ve got peripherals for both (steering wheel and a HOTAS stick), so those will be fun to start using again.
What is everyone else out there playing? Anything on your list you need to finish?
