Waiting is the hardest part…

At this point, I’ve started sending out queries for Over the Edge. After working super hard on the letter and making sure that the manuscript is where it needs to be, I simply have to wait for responses. Rejections are already trickling in, but I haven’t received anything even close to resembling interest. I am perfectly aware that 99% of queries are met with rejection, but waiting on a response from each agent I submit to is still agony – even if I set myself up to expect rejection.

Though I’m new to the query process and have done more than enough research to know how it works, I’d love nothing more than to see a request for a partial or full hit my inbox. That’s “pie in the sky”, but a writer can dream. Right?
