The Proposition (46 words) – written 6/5/2017

Shining steel: a polished edge.

With barest push, her hopes did hedge.

Then blood spilled, crimson and warm.

Upon lily satin, indelibly adorned.

Threefold propositions, charmingly rebuffed.

The fourth, more forceful, was quite enough.

The blade, unexpected. Final. And true.

Ensured his fate: one long overdue.
