National Novel Writing Month is here again!
It’s crazy to think that this time last year I was working on Over the Edge. And now, a year later, I have another novel under my belt (Infinity’s Heir) and a third in the works (an untitled YA novel).
Over the past year, I’ve come a long way, but I still have so far to go. And that’s why I’m going to take part in NaNoWriMo 2016.
Normally, NaNoWriMo calls for a new work of fiction, but this year I’m going to do things differently. Because of a very busy October, I’ve mostly neglected my scifi YA novel and that really is a shame. So, to up the stakes, I’ve decided to use NaNoWriMo as a catalyst to get me working on the novel again.
But, either way, this year will be a real challenge. Between a busy 4th quarter at work (crazy busy compared to last year) and moving (we bought a house…hooray!), November promises to be a whirlwind. I’m doubtful that I’ll be able to write a full 50k words, but I’m definitely going to try.
I started yesterday, but only managed to get about 1k words on paper. It’s a start and one that I hope can set the pace for the rest of the month. Because, even then, if I don’t hit 50k words, I can hit 30k. And that’s better than 0 words.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who has stopped by to read my ramblings over the past year. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Every view, every follow, and every like means the world to me. I hope that over the next year, I can grow the blog in a worthwhile direction and produce content that interests even more of you. And, as always, if there is anything you want to see here, just let me know and I’ll get to work on it.
But, most of all, Thank You. I couldn’t have done it without you…
