Finally, an update!

It has been a while since I last had an opportunity to update Storm at Sea, but that’s because things have been going well. VERY well.

I’ve gotten some beta feedback on Infinity’s Heir that has been generally good. Based on the feedback, I’ll most likely start another revision, but I’m in no real hurry to get that done. On the submission front, the partial request is still out (hoping to hear about that soon). Also, last Thursday was #SFFpit. I sent out around five tweets and got likes from just as many agents. I sent out queries that day and hope to get positive news in the near future. Finger’s crossed!

Besides that, I spent a fair amount of time beta reading and working on my untitled YA novel. I’m sad to say that I didn’t get nearly as far as I would have liked on the latter. I had hoped that NaNoWriMo 2016 would bolster my resolve, but so much other stuff happened last month that I was only able to produce a measly 4700 words. That’s not a lot…

But something bigger happened in November.

On October 17th, I started Game Over to have a place where I could post video game content. The short of it is that one thing led to another and one of my articles has been picked up by a burgeoning news site. Since then, I’ve been invited to join the staff and have published two additional articles. Moving forward, I’ll be contributing to the site as a regular writer/reviewer!

This development wasn’t planned and definitely wasn’t expected. But I’m excited. The fact that my work is actually starting to reach people is empowering. And I can’t wait to continue down this path.

Moving forward, I hope to provide even more updates here, but rest assured that Storm at Sea has not been abandoned. Instead, the storm has strengthened and I remain afloat among the ever-changing currents.
